Posthumous Green Award

I’ll confess I’ve been saving this one for election week. Without a doubt he was an environmentalist and a political radical. I’m sure he was difficult to live with, but on the plus side he was one of the greatest writers ever. This week’s award goes to Leo Nikolayevich Tolstoy, and in this case I’d be happy to bet he’d vote Green!

Tolstoy would recognise the threat the country faces under David Cameron’s Tories and vote Labour on the day, even if his heart said vote Green.

Ms Sweeny, you talk a lot about Iraq, but do you realise that a protest vote against Labour over Iraq is simply an attempt to punish a few politicians that will ultimately cause harm to the majority UK citizens instead?

Can’t agree with you Andy. There are so, so many reasons not to vote Labour. See today’s post.

How cold is my valley?

Who I am

This blog started during the months before the 2010 General Election, in which I was the Green candidate for Calder Valley. It's morphed into an account of green activism...and other meanderings.
