Posthumous Green Award

No doubt about this award, although he has only just passed away. This man was genuinely one of my heroes, donkey jacket and all, when I was a teenager. He co-founded CND, in which I cut my campaigning teeth, and he was always thoroughly decent even in the political bearpit. For a lifetime of intelligent, cultured, good-humoured dedication to good causes,  this week’s award goes to Michael Foot. Raise a glass to him somewhere – I definitely shall!

How cold is my valley?

Who I am

This blog started during the months before the 2010 General Election, in which I was the Green candidate for Calder Valley. It's morphed into an account of green activism...and other meanderings.
