Let’s Debate

Firstly, apologies for not moderating and publishing all the comments of my readers. The reason for this is mainly time, or the lack thereof. It’s also partly because of the regrettable tendency of a few anonymous people to express themselves in an unpleasant way! Quick replies to recent items, though:

  • Sorry, but I don’t do nasty stuff about other candidates. You’ll look in vain for personal attacks!
  • About the aborted debate in Hebden Bridge – actually I did ask Jason to invite Chris O’Connor, the independent candidate, but he’d already done so. There was no UKIP or BNP candidate then, but I’d have argued for them to be included. Yes- even the BNP! The Green Party is wholly opposed to BNP policies, but while they are part of the democratic process they have a right to particpate.
  • It’s worth reiterating that my rival candidates Hilary and Craig have both asked, more than once, for me to be included on the panel in Todmorden. We all believe in democracy, you see!

kate, when you say personal attacks, you do mean professional i hope and are not simply requoting jason ‘ratcliffe’ idiott?

two local mp’s, and two fellow ppc’s have called for a rival candidate to resign his position, and it has been a regular feature in the local news for nearly two weeks. do you care so little about child protection in calderdale to comment?

How cold is my valley?

Who I am

This blog started during the months before the 2010 General Election, in which I was the Green candidate for Calder Valley. It's morphed into an account of green activism...and other meanderings.
