Global warming – pah!

You may have noticed that there’s been the odd bit of snow around this week. I was happy to see a piece in the Guardian by Bob Henson examining the connection to climate change (see the link on the right) but less pleased with the Guardian’s dimwit subheading. Honestly, sometimes…..

Apart from a horrendous use of heating, I’ve been very lucky so far – all my train journeys were uneventful. I also spent 90 mins on Friday being photographed in various snowy Pennine locations for the election leaflet. The Green central office had informed us (perhaps a little later than we’d have wished) that candidate photos needed to be at least 10 megapixels, and the existing ones were all below 8 (apparently). Susan, my doughty campaign manager, battled her way to Hebden Bridge with her daughter’s snazzy camera and I tried to look caring, committed and competent in sub-zero temperatures. A couple of the results will appear here eventually.

How cold is my valley?

Who I am

This blog started during the months before the 2010 General Election, in which I was the Green candidate for Calder Valley. It's morphed into an account of green activism...and other meanderings.
