Posthumous Green Award

After the encomium above, it’s got to be Douglas Adams. The sad part of this is the word ‘posthumous’ – he’d only have been 58 now. Not much doubt about his environmentalism – it’s everywhere in the books, and his was the original ‘Last Chance to See’. He died before many of his beloved endangered species, but the fight continues without him.
